Museo Industrial de Filadelfia
Agricultural and industrial machinery inside the Fernheim plant, with the 1957 refinery building as its centrepiece.
What it is
Inside the Fernheim Industrial Plant grounds, on Avenida Hindenburg, this museum shows how the colony moved from the plough to agro-industry. It is organised in sections: the 1957 refinery, a three-storey building that is an icon of Filadelfia; the steam engines and generators that once supplied electricity; the equipment used to process cotton and peanuts; and the farm implements, from the first tools to full mechanisation. It is a short but very visual visit to understand what made the colony's prosperity possible.
