Museo Hogareño Knelsenhaus
A 1948 house turned into a Mennonite home museum, with furniture and utensils of the Chaco's first settler families.
What it is
The Knelsenhaus is a historic house in downtown Filadelfia, built in 1948 by Jakob Knelsen, who first used it as a family home and later as one of the town's earliest hotels. It now works as a home museum showing what daily life was like for pioneer families. Inside you will find household utensils, furniture and everyday objects from the first years of Mennonite settlement. It is an intimate, house-scale view that complements the more institutional museums along the avenue.
