What it is

Costanera Ñande Rendá is a recreational and cultural space in Ciudad del Este, a meeting point for families, tourists and locals. Entry is free, although you are asked to show your national ID, which helps keep the place orderly. It has areas for strolling, sport and cultural events. It is a good spot for a sunset walk, a picnic or simply a rest from the commercial city. According to the press, it is the municipality's first artificial waterfront: Ciudad del Este's municipal government inaugurated it in late May 2021, in the San Juan neighbourhood, on the shore of Lake Acaray, with an open-air amphitheatre, a skate track, sand volleyball courts, a bike path and a pier.
