Jejuí
Considered the first guarania, it opened the way for the genre.
What it is
'Jejuí' is cited as the first guarania, by José Asunción Flores, and with it the genre immediately found acceptance. 'Kerasy', 'Arribeño resay' and 'India' followed. Later Flores developed a symphonic style of guarania, with orchestral poems such as 'Mburicaó' and 'Pyharepyte'. Flores composed it in 1925, and it is regarded as the birth of the guarania as a genre.
