International Jazz Day in Asunción
Jazz concerts at cultural centers and stages around the capital to celebrate the genre’s world day.
What it is
Every late April, Asunción celebrates International Jazz Day with concerts at various venues. In 2026 the Paraguayan-American Cultural Center (CCPA), which has marked the day for more than a decade, presented its jazz quintet, and there was a festival at the Shopping del Sol mall. Paraguay’s jazz scene is small but active, with musicians trained at home and abroad who also play in the capital’s bars throughout the year.
