ASUFICC – Asunción International Contemporary Film Festival
Paraguayan and international art-house cinema at cultural centers in the capital, with screenings and filmmaker Q&As.
What it is
ASUFICC programs contemporary feature and short films from Paraguay and around the world over five days. In 2026 screenings were spread among the Juan de Salazar Spanish Cultural Center, the Alliance Française’s Sala Molière and the Paraguayan-American Cultural Center. It’s a great chance to see recent Paraguayan films, which rarely reach commercial cinemas, and to mingle with directors and film lovers.
What to see and do
- Premieres of recent Paraguayan films
- Screenings at cultural centers downtown and in Villa Morra
- Talks with filmmakers
Tips
Check the schedule and entry conditions for each venue on the festival’s social media. Many films are shown only once.
