What it is
Tatí Yupí is one of the protected areas managed by Itaipú Binacional in Alto Paraná. According to the entity, visitors can ride in a carriage, sulky or bicycle, picnic, look out over the lake from the dock and enjoy outdoor activities. To enter you must book first and then collect your pass at the Visitor Reception Center in Hernandarias.

Itaipú reported in 2026 (and the press in 2025) Tuesday to Sunday, 08:00 to 11:45 and 13:00 to 15:30. Check current times before you go.

Book through Itaipú's Visitor Portal (apps.itaipu.gov.py/PWAP), by phone at (061) 599 8040 / 8094 or by email at cturistico@itaipu.gov.py. You need an ID document and must check in at the Visitor Reception Center in Hernandarias.
