Parque Ecológico de Fernando de la Mora
A small municipal park of about 2 hectares, with natural paths and capybaras, next to the Campo Grande stream.
What it is
Fernando de la Mora's Ecological Park covers about 2 hectares on the bank of the Campo Grande stream and offers natural trails and local wildlife, notably capybaras. It is a green pause inside the country's most densely populated city: Fernando de la Mora is Paraguay's smallest district, at 20 km², with 110,255 inhabitants (2022 census). The city also has the Esquina Cultural Museo del Tereré, a space with a mural and a monument dedicated to the drink, and an emblematic neighbourhood, Kamba Kua, an Afro-Paraguayan community already covered in this guide.

Fernando de la Mora was founded on 28 February 1939 under the original name Zavala Cué, and its current name honours an independence hero.
