Museo del Inmigrante de Yguazú
A free museum facing Plaza de la Amistad about the 1960s Japanese immigrants who founded Yguazú.
What it is
The Yguazú Immigrant Museum tells the story of sacrifice of immigrants who arrived in the 1960s, mainly from La Colmena, the cradle of Japanese immigration in Paraguay. It displays photographs, farm tools, old objects and crafts donated by the first settlers. One of its most curious pieces is CETAPAR's first computer, along with documents from the colonisers. Entry is free and open. It faces Plaza La Amistad, next to the municipality.
