Guarambaré
Guarambaré lives among the cane fields. Its sugar mill, La Felsina, founded in 1930, produces conventional and certified organic sugar exported to the United States, Europe and Asia, and sugarcane (takuare'ẽ in Guarani) gives its name to the festival the town considers its biggest draw. Downtown, late-19th-century mansions and the parish church of Natividad de María still stand. It's a peaceful stop on the PY01 circuit, on the way to Itá.
