Tour Necrópolis en el Cementerio de la Recoleta
A guided, dramatized tour of historic tombs and mausoleums in the Recoleta Cemetery, three times a year.
What it is
It mixes history, heritage and theater: actors interact with the audience as the group visits mausoleums. The city government names among the stops the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Captain Bozzano, Herminio Giménez, Silvio Pettirossi, the family vaults of presidents Eusebio and Eligio Ayala, the Speratti sisters, and the Corina López Lynch monument near gate 3. In 2025 each edition drew 200 to 300 people, in the afternoon.
Schedule
According to the 2026 program it runs three times a year: Holy Week, the winter holidays (July) and late October or early November around All Saints' Day. Check current times before you go.

Free, according to the Asunción city government.
