What it is
Ñemby, part of Greater Asunción, has 116,383 inhabitants according to the 2022 census and covers about 29 km². Its most distinctive feature is Cerro Ñemby, an extinct volcano that dominates the urban skyline. The main parish, dedicated to San Lorenzo, has roots in 1718 and has shown its current façade since 1971.
