What it is

The Villa Hayes pier is at the north end of the waterfront and is where the city meets the river. The waterfront avenue connects to a dock with boating facilities and a 400-square-metre rest promenade. It is a calm place to watch the Paraguay River, see boats go by and sip mate or tereré with a view of the horizon, just minutes from Asunción.
