Moisés Bertoni

He settled on the banks of the Paraná, in today's Alto Paraná department, and spent decades studying the flora, climate and traditional knowledge of the Guaraní. He described stevia (ka'a he'ẽ). His house, in the Moisés Bertoni Scientific Monument, is open to visitors.
