Colonias Unidas Rally (National Rally Championship)
The National Rally Championship opens its season on the red-dirt roads of the Colonias Unidas.
What it is
The Paraguayan rally season usually gets underway in Itapúa, on red-dirt roads that wind through yerba mate plantations, soybean fields and towns founded by European settlers. National Rally Championship drivers compete on timed stages around Hohenau, Obligado and Bella Vista, cheered on by big local crowds. It’s the same scenery the World Rally Championship tackles in August, but with smaller crowds and friendlier hotel prices.

Tips
Watch the stages only from designated spectator areas. March is still hot and it may rain: bring insect repellent and shoes that can handle mud.
