Trébol Rodeo Expo
The Chaco’s great Mennonite livestock fair: rodeo, auctions, the Asadero Chaqueño barbecue contest and thousands of visitors.
What it is
Held in Loma Plata with the backing of the Chortitzer, Fernheim and Neuland Mennonite cooperatives, the Trébol Rodeo Expo is considered the country’s second-largest livestock show. Born in the 1970s as a small producers’ fair, in 2026 it celebrated half a century with more than 700 animals entered, auctions, rodeo, shows and the Asadero Chaqueño grill-masters’ contest. August is also the dry season, ideal for exploring the Central Chaco.
