Caaguazú

Caaguazú, "great forest" in Guaraní, was born in the middle of the woods and turned them into a trade: along the highway, one carpentry shop and furniture store follows another, selling solid-wood tables, chairs, doors and crafts. In the center, Ykua La Patria park shelters, beneath old trees, the spring by which the founders settled. The Immaculate Conception church sports a large mural on its façade, the work of an Argentine artist, and the Polideportivo Techado is the country's largest indoor arena. For families, the Techapyrã complex adds a dinosaur theme park.
