Access
Created in 1998 with 30,000 ha, it was expanded in 2004 to about 123,800 ha. There is no tourist infrastructure. Access is via the Lagerenza–Bahía Negra road or through Defensores del Chaco, by 4x4 and in the dry season. To experience the Pantanal, the most practical option is to organize your visit from Bahía Negra with local tour operators or biological stations.
