Recorré Asunción: un paseo por la historia (autoguiado con QR)
A self-guided circuit of 20 historic downtown buildings, with QR signs in Spanish, English and braille.
What it is
SENATUR has promoted it since 2022 (there are reports from May 2022 and January 2023): each stop has a QR sign giving access to text and audio in Spanish, English and braille. There are 20 sites, including the National Pantheon, the Cathedral, the Municipal Theater, the House of Independence, the Manzana de la Rivera, the Palacio de López, the Central Railway Station and the Church of the Encarnación. The app was designed by students of the Catholic University in San Ignacio, Misiones.
Schedule
Being self-guided it does not depend on a guide, but check current times before you go and, above all, whether the signs and the app still work.
Cost
The source gives no cost; ask SENATUR.
How to book
No booking is needed given its self-guided format. For questions, SENATUR's tourist information line is (021) 494 110.
