Jaboticaba (yvapurũ)
Plinia cauliflora · yvapurũ
The tree that bears fruit right on its trunk: sweet, juicy little black berries.
What it is

At harvest time the trunk is covered in shiny black berries with sweet, juicy white pulp. They're eaten fresh or made into juices, jellies and liqueurs, and the tree is widely grown in orchards and backyards.
