The country’s toughest and most iconic race: rally cars flat out on the dusty roads of the Chaco.
What it is
Since the 1970s, the Transchaco Rally has been the great celebration of Paraguayan motorsport and closes out the National Rally Championship. After a super special stage in Greater Asunción, the cars cross into the Central Chaco and race for several days on dirt and sand roads around Mariscal Estigarribia and the Mennonite colonies. Thousands of fans camp beside the stages with asado and tereré, in a festive Chaco atmosphere.
