Cradle of the Harp Festival
Open-air harp music in the hometown of Félix Pérez Cardozo, composer of “Tren lechero” and a giant of the Paraguayan harp.
What it is
The district named after the great harpist Félix Pérez Cardozo celebrates its heritage with a free open-air festival that has drawn more than 5,000 people. Performers include harp ensembles from municipal music schools, harpists from all over the country, folk groups and comedians. It’s a fine chance to hear the Paraguayan harp in its popular, everyday setting.

Tips
Free entry. Bring a folding chair and a light jacket. Villarrica, a few kilometers away, is the best base for an overnight stay.
